Step 8 : Learning difference between a boss and a leader

Hey all
During a hustle of being something you are hesitant to be , you learn a lot. I had always put down the idea of being a leader misinterpreting as boss. If you see and experience it closely you will understand.

1. Being social
A boss may be very social, but a leader takes social responsibility. Responsibility that how his actions , his behaviour may just create a beautiful change or a disaster by the pack thats following him. A boss tends to have less social responsibility .

2. Getting things done
A boss gets done what he wants whatsoever.  A leader knows how to get things done, invests time and energy along with the team.

3. Checking on people
A boss finds his team sick , grants leave. A leader checks on them , tries to help them emotional and i. whatever way possible.

4. Growth
A boss thinks about his growth . A leader not only things about his growth, but his teams growth and their personal growth. Grooms them to be leaders.
A boss goes faster but to a shorter distance. A leader goes gradually but to a longer distance.

5. Feedback
A boss gives negative feedback more often, appreciates occasionally. A leader appreciates good work and corrects mistakes with patience without being judgemental.

6. Responsible
A leader takes responsibility of their mistakes .
A leader is responsible for his team's actions.
Shows off their achievements.

7. Competition
A boss is competitive and doesn't show all tricks of trade to the protege. A leader not only teaches but also learns from the team.Celebrates their growth.

8. Opportunities
The boss only gives opportunity to the pet , or the ones who do it better. A leader gives fair opportunities to everyone , also focuses on the ones who need more help and attention.

So far learnt so much
Bye.

The MRCEM OSCE exam is an integral part of the qualification which tests the clinical and communication skills of candidates. For Indian students pursuing this qualification, preparing for the MRCEM OSCE exam may seem daunting. However, with a few tips that helped me sail through fine. The thing that helped me the most is acclimatizing myself to the UK Clinical Setting Before appearing for the MRCEM OSCE exam, it is imperative for Indian students to understand the clinical setting in the UK. Sometimes , all they want to see is how you behave , your body language, your tone , and your organising skills. Diagnosis is not a critical thing here. You will not fail if you get a wrong diagnosis provided that you have done it systematically. So

" Consulting a psychiatrist would be a question mark on my spirituality " Said the patient.

Hello everybody  I hope everybody is safe and healthy. it's been a while that I've been receiving lot of patients in the emergency with mental illness ,thought of sharing an incident of its kind. Not sure if its the awareness of mental health these days or the pandemic, I am developing keen interest in patients with mental illness .I try to take an extra effort to make them feel comfortable and try to create an insight of what is happening and offer them options of what all can be done.  Since this it seems like a step towards patient care , I thought I'd share it here as well. This would probably not be the best approach but I welcome any type of constructive criticism , additions or subtraction to my approach because end of the day we are here for best patient care. A 50 years plus old gentleman ,presented to the emergency with the complaints of chest pain radiating to left arm , breathing difficulty, choking sensation in the throat, inability to open his ey

Hey all Once you're done with your residency . Things appear differently. Some people have a distant vision about such things while some realise at the moment. Nevertheless, the struggle is more or less the same. Remember going through growth spurts as a child? The too-short pant legs were embarrassing, but the achy limbs and joints made it miserable. Just like when you were a teen and all your comfortable clothes would no longer fit. These are tough adjustments “growing pains,” and they can throw your career way off its trajectory if you aren’t prepared to face them. While moving out of your parent institution is great, not everything is sunshine and roses. You can experience these growth spurts fast or slow. Some people are lucky enough to choose the pace. Some people have no choice but to give in.
