Burn - Stress in few minutes

Change your passwords . This technique is creating cues in your environment to prompt you to act in a certain way. I recently read abouta man who used this specific password technique to process his  anger  after his  divorce . He changed his password to  Forgive @h3r, and it worked. His next password was Quit@smoking4ever, and it helped him quite  smoking . Think about how many times you enter a password during your day. Make it something that is going to help you create the environment you want. Give someone a hug . Hugs are so important that they now have their own day—January 21 was actually Give Someone a Hug Day. Hugs are good stress relievers. Hugging someone causes you to release  oxytocin , a  hormone  that promotes pro-social behaviors that can contribute to relaxation, trust, and compassion. In his popular  TED talk (link is external) , Dr. Paul Zak prescribes at least 8 hugs a day to maintain strong relationships. If you feel weird about hugging your colleagues at work, sav

Puntastic Otosclerosis #ENT

It's a PUNtastic topic .  To start with the distribution it's common in Indians ( pathologically rich nation , that we are ) and Whites ( racist Dhingra ). Females are mostly affected but in India males predominate ( females are Pavitra savitris ) Age is 20-40 usually ( Yeh Jawani hai diwani) ( lol, I mean loud music) The disease doesnot occur alone it is associated with two other diseases ,( teen patti ) . When together for convenience they are given a name called Van der hoeve syndrome ( wonder huiwi ? 😜)  3 different organs are involved ear ,eye and bone ( bura dekha Ya kaha to haddi todh dungi ) blue sclera , otosclerosis and osteogenesis inperfecta.  Types  It's further divided into 3 types : 1. Stapedial OS : biscuit type - OVAL window and footplate of stapes is involved. Conductive deafness. 2. Cochlear type OS : SNHL . Round window & capsule involved.  3. Histological OS : symptomless . No hearing loss ( no idea why it is even classified . He is too illogical )

Optic neuritis - filmy way! #ophthal

Optic neuritis is the cutest , the sweetest , the fantastic of the answers I have ever read so far ! Emotional anaesthesia -Dealing Depression

Hi. Stress is everywhere . So is the solution! In a perfect world, every day would be sunny, we’d never gain weight and our checkbooks would always balance. But instead, stuff happensand things don’t always go according to plan. Does that doom you to a day of misery? It doesn’t have to ? While we might not be able to change the situation, what we can do is change the way we  react  to it ! Woke up late ? Calm down during morning hours. you're calmly going about your routine, pull open your curtains: Exposure to bright light gears up your mood-enhancing serotonin. And—for some extra mood-boosting insurance—put the alarm on the other side of the room so you won’t be tempted to use the snooze function tomorrow. Late for college? Stuck in a traffic ? while it may seem cheesy, smile, even if you don’t feel like it. The effect is not only contagious, but the actual act of smiling and feeling your cheeks lift upward can fool you into feeling happy. Then pull over, call your office to let

Depress press

Hi. "Ugh. I'm  depressed ." We've all said it, and even the most happy-go-lucky among us will have an occasional bout of the blues. Sometimes it's the big stuff that triggers it—like getting fired, losing a loved one, or splitting up with your spouse—but often enough, feeling low can come from things as simple as a  Grey's Anatomy  rerun, crappy weather, or a rough night's sleep. But does that mean you’re actually depressed? Not so fast. For most of us, these feelings come and go. But when sadness persists for more than two weeks and affects your ability to function at work, at home, or in other aspects of your life, you may have what's known as major, or clinical,  depression .  Depression doesn’t always look like debilitating sadness," Patients are reluctant to consider depression as a cause of their symptoms—in part because they may equate it with weakness, but also in part because they simply don’t associate those symptoms with depression. Loan . Sale . Clearance . Eye

Hi! There are 65 definition merely to define blindness . Like seriously ? This shows our so called World Health Organisation has some philosophers and MANY literature enthusiasts who show their prowess in jumbling words to form new definitions . The picture attached below highlights some serious issue. But who is donating? As a Muslim , I don't think I will. But some fatwas not many know about declare it legal in Islam shariat. There is a lot of counselling to be done at student level . Inspite of being a medical student , I am reluctant to this what about the rest?   The emphasis of medical schools should also be on serious issues like organ donation which many professors themselves are hesitant about.  No donation is promoted except for blood donation . That too is encouraged on the safe grounds , give it now - but it from your own body in a short span.  I would like to share about an incident with you , as you all have been VERY kind in bearing up with the post for so long . Not

Sweet Eye

Hi . Back again with a pile of some weird stuff. Diabetes .did you know? Shit I didn't .  Diabetes. The name is enough. Everybody knows what it is . How to control it.  I have a dozen blood relations suffering from diabetes mellitus. Every time they see a doctor , he tells them that the *sugar* has gone high . They give him a *sweet smile* ( Due to hyperglycaemia , I believe) stating , oh doctor , you know how it is ... I just can't refrain from rice , I have eaten it twice everyday throughout my life . Changing habits is difficult. (So is changing diapers, but people do!) They don't realise and mostly don't know what diabetes can cause . Harmful they know . But how much? The doctors thus don't take enough time to explain. Who cares? There are millions with the same disease .  Honestly , I knew about generalised lesions diabetes can cause like candidiasis et al but ocular lesions in specific is what I never knew. So did you? If you did , the blog ends here. The rest
